3 supportive responses on The Silence Up The Hill

Jay Baba.... more interesting 'personal' news are happening, but for now, i post these 2 pages which i prepared to be printed and laminated for using around the Samadhi area: they are edited from 3 different responses i got last night and clearly shows that i am NOT the only person who sees/feels the 'problem'..... enjoy it: {i took out the names of the writers, but it is on the record if anyone has any doubt!}

Subject: Re: Silence Up The Hill,

I don't know WHO Moshen is….. but after reading Pam’s response – …. I simply could not contain myself any longer… …...

Now – I DO NOT GO TO THE SAMADHI ANY MORE BECAUSE I CANT STAND THE LOUD VOICES AROUND THERE!!!
And although the majority of loud voices are indeed, as Moshen says, Indians, the Iranians certainly add their share! From what I have seen, the Westerners seem to be able to read the sign that is on the wall inside the shelter at the entrance of the Samadhi & also pinned to the tree outside above the bench where people sit to put their shoes back on.
The sign, folks, is a picture of Baba with His finger to His lips in a Shh gesture, with the words Silence Please.

NOW IS THAT HARD TO UNDERSTAND??!!!

Why on earth would anyone think it meant No praying, no singing – when that is what we are there for??!!!

IT MEANS NO BLOODY TALKING!!!!

Now that the MPR is open …. I stay WAY away from the Samadhi at Arti time – simply because I am not spiritually advanced enough to have the Spiritual Equipoise that Baba says we should all strive for, so I could simply ignore all the “Hey! How's it going! Haven't seen you in years!” going on around the Samadhi……

Yes I LOVE being in the Tomb, but it is not worth the anger that wells up inside me when I hear grossly inconsiderate people talking around the Samadhi.

And then they think that just because they are not actually IN the Samadhi, but sitting on the walls around the Cabin, that it is perfectly OK to carry on a normal conversation there – Well IT ISN'T!!! YOU CAN EASILY BE HEARD IN THE SAMADHI!

…. I used to fix a fierce eye on whoever was talking & HISS at them, but it didn't really bother the talkers, it would just get me riled up in anger – so I stay away.

Is it really that hard to obey Baba’s Silent request?
Just simple consideration to your fellow Lovers should do the trick.

REALLY!!! GET SOME UNDERSTANDING FOLKS!

NO TALKING!!!!

Pray, sing, weep, laugh, all out loud, just no bloody talking!!!!

{MUSIC, DANCE, SOUNDFUL expressions of emotions (laughter, crying weeping, etc...) ARE FINE + OK + even DESIRABLE....... }

On 7/25/06…………. @…...com> wrote:

I do not remember any story of people going for Meher Baba's Darshan and sitting in His company and shooting the 'breeze' with each other.

If you are at the Samadhi and you are feeling the need for companionship with other pilgrims, you can stay at the MPC, have a go around the Hill and share thought and feelings, or go to a cafe for a coffee.

When you go to the Samadhi it is for Communion with the Divine Beloved Meher Baba, Avatar of the Age. If you have trouble focusing on this and feel a need for companionship other than the Lords', then please feel free to seek it elsewhere, not the Samadhi. It is rude to Beloved Meher Baba, let alone inconsiderate of those who have come for His Holy Communion. I first came to Meherabad in 1973. Never, ever, did I see the Mandali come for Darshan at the Samadhi and sit and talk about the weather, the news, or any other topic. They were there for Darshan and their respectful demeanour and acknowledgement of the Lord's presence should! be the example we take regarding behaviour at the Samadhi.

The fact there is this type of discussion is a brilliant example of the limited mind...and lack of common sense in our culture of ignorance.

…… But having read your email, I do, indeed, agree with you. It really changes the atmosphere for me to hear the background of conversations around the Beloved's TombShrine. Frankly, even the singing after arti has, at times, been difficult to take when there's been a competition going for who's going to sing next, and for how long. Perhaps the latter situation has been dealt with in more recent years; I dunno. There was a time when I loved arti, including the singing afterwards. But it's been a long time since I've felt that way.
Beyond being personally disturbing to me, I feel the conversing to be so disrespectful to Baba and His lovers. That said, I've had conversations near the Samadhi, falling back on 'well they're all doing it.' I will justify myself in saying that I haven't done it much at all, but have done it. Shame on me. ….. love ….

"It is a real shame if ...."

Jay Baba, cannot resist posting this 'confirmative' comment, so i do it.....
Also from USA:

"....It is a real shame if it gets noisy around tomb or cell phones ring anywhere near there!!! ....."

MORE clarification on the Silence Issue!

Jay Baba..... the following comment was also received (in italic) and my response to it follows it:

I know there would be many musicians who would disagree with a silence
rule at Baba's Samadhi!
I would definitely miss hearing all the prayers and
musical praise.

Sorry to hear such comments, which only shows i FAILED to convey my point.....
i am not a musician but play percussion and daff REGULARLI in the artis..... MUSIC, DANCE, SOUNDFUL expressions of emotions (laughter, crying weeping, etc...) ARE FINE + OK + even DESIREABLE.......

my point was/is ONLY the usual CHITCHATTING ="Hello, How are you/ havn't seen you for long! how are you doing? how is your wife/husband? how is.... ?? when did you arrive......?????? AND IN A LOUD VOICE , as in a cafe!

Clear enough, i HOPE SO!

PLEASE forget about the 'rule', it is VERY SIMPLE COMMON sense, IF you see it in the context of 'THE HUB'!!!!!
Thank you

Mind vs Heart (on the Silence Up the Magic Hill)

Jay Baba dear all..... as more responses are coming, more words are used, just hoping that the simple point is clear enough...... see how the mind 'resists' to accept a very simple thing..... enjoy:

(the following is based on a letter i got from one of God's lovers, from USA. (the italics are hers!)

I'm wondering about whether or not Baba wants us to
keep silent near his Samadhi?

Wow, you opened a very new and fresh look at the subject, or approached it in a different angel. Mercy! The whole set up there implies that one shall keep silent and avoid disturbing the natural silence of the area. And if you take into the account that there are 'real' and 'false' things; and Baba wants to give the 'real' thing to those who come to Him, then the obvious conclusion is that the atmosphere of silence MUST be maintained (it is TWO way street = give + take) Baba wants to give, but if we are not ready to receive (chatting mind + noisy air around), then the 'transaction' will not happen.

PLEASE NOTE that i am NOT SAYING that one cannot receive from Baba in the 'market = noise', IF he/she is ready enough! And i am distinguishing between INNER and OUTER silence. Yet, for 99% of the people who come for the 'transaction', the outer silence is a MUST. Outer wise the place will become like any other pilgrim places in India, full of noise! (except the Bahai's, who are restrict about maintaining the silence inside their temple in Delhi __because people in charge themselves respect it and visitors naturally follow the 'rule')

The whole issue comes to this point that when there are more 'attractive' false things in the world (money, power, prestige.....) WHO cares about the 'real' stuff? This point, PLUS the fact that people are the slave of their 'chatter-box = mind', can explain why a simple thing (keeping the mouth shut for one hour) can be SO complex and annoying. So i leave it to Baba and do my best...... just some reflections on your words:

I'm wondering about whether or not Baba wants us to
keep silent near his Samadhi?

The doubt comes because we do not associate things the way our mind does not want! The mind is our 'master' and forces us to associate the facts according to its OWN 'interests', NOT according to the REALITY.

If Baba has actually requested this can you please give the quotes
regarding this.

For me, His 44 years of silence + the famous quote "Real things are given and taken in silence' + the natural silence of the Hill + the inhibiting function of the mind for the heart to be open, are enough proof and i need no other 'force'!

I don't recall anything about Baba
wanting us to be silent near the Samadhi.

like ANY OTHER 'religion' , people expect the 'prophet' to say EVERYTHING, EVEN when there was no need to say anything! i suppose When Baba was in the Body, the Hill area WAS silent already and people would speak in low volume ....He left things to our own 'intelligence' to work out the coming issues! Do you think if He had said such a thing, people would obey? Are we obeying everything He had said? Again, mind wants SOME proof ( =excuse) to stay 'alive' and 'master'!

There may be personal interpretation and opinion about the
matter and people should act how they naturally feel.

This is YOUR interpretation of Baba's words/work and if it were 'valid', no Avatar would bother to change the 'natural' course of events! That word 'naturally' mean a lot! The 'natural' tendency of the mind is to indulge in trivia and be a BLOCK to the heart! Also if everything 'natural' was 'good', then all the 'viruses' and 'bacterias' must be dealt with, as they are, and we shall respect their 'nature'!

Nature of the mind is the ONLY veil to GOD. Because it is conditioned NOT BY GOD, but by the society. ONLY HEART can overcome this 'monster master' and unfortunately people are 'crippled' when it comes to this 'battle'!

For instance as you say some people can't keep silent
but I don't think that should keep them from being near the samadhi.

So why they come there? To 'socialize' and disturb the silence?! If Baba is EVERYWHERE, which He IS, then they can stay home and be with Baba. If they 'can't', as you say, this is only a 'weakness' and if you love them, you encourage them to BECOME strong, and NOT leave them to become weaker and weaker. If they are 'handicapped' in this regard, they shall be reminded that THIS small place is NOT the right place to practice their handicap!

So personally I think people should be natural around the samadhi and express what's in their hearts.
Yes, but NOT WHAT IS IN THEIR MINDS!!! And I hope you get the clear distinction between the two. Heart can feel bliss and can cry to express it, but mind is only curious to know what is happening, and wants to chatter to dumpt its 'load' on others!

Similarly, how one approaches the opening of Baba's
tomb is also personal. If they feel compelled to
stand, bow, kneel or lay on the floor it should be
what's natural for them.

Yes, as long as the silence is respected they can do ANYTHING.

If you want to keep silent then do so and if it is too noisy for you then maybe
wearing earplugs would be helpful for you.

See dear, how mind wants to 'escape' the real issue? I love to hear the songs birds singing in Baba's glory. It deepens the silence. Why shall I do some UNNATURAL thing to enjoy a natural phenomenon? Ear plugs are good in the subways and the market place! And the question is NOT as 'personal' as you may think! I know how to keep my mind silent, but it is a 'collective issue' (as had been proven by these emails!) Then,.... imagine that a basketful of earplugs could be available for people entering the area! How funny!

Maybe wearing a sign requesting people to keep quiet around
the Samadhi would remind people to think about what
they're doing there.

YES, thank you, this is what I am aiming at. That little sign over the bench is NOT enough and people who work there often ignore it, what about the new comers!

But as you say it really can't be enforced….
I NEVER said so! I said it can't be enforced from OUTSIDE (police +special squad!) I said it CAN be enforced by the right understanding and a collective effort to 'educate' the pilgrims who come there. Please read me more carefully.

and if people don't oblige to a polite request then what can you do?
Then there can be more bells and more signs, WITHOUT breaking the silence!
If the WILL is there, the WAY is HERE already. I am aiming at THAT WILL!

I also wonder if ringing a bell might be annoying too and may not relay
the message to be quiet.

I do not understand what that 'wondering' means (my poor English), BUT it had proven to be VERY EFFECTIVE to restore the silence, you can try it on your own mind to see the effect. The only people who can be annoyed are those who are supposed to maintain the place (IN EVERY RESPECT, INCLUDING the silence) while caught chattering in loud voice near Baba's cabin and elsewhere in the area!

Jai Baba, and thank you for your patience with my words….. this is ALL out of love, and love is a 'crazy' phenomenon for the 'logical mind'!

In His Mercy, mohsen

Responding to a response about the silence up the Magic Hill!

Jay Baba, just replied to a dear sister from USA, to clarify some points....appreciate and invite your comments/suggesions..............yours in Him............... Italics are hers.............

".........Thank you again for responding…. I am glad you did, because it gives me a chance to clarify some points for everyone, may this bring peace and understanding among our family members, AMEEN.
As I said before, I feel there is some misinterpretation, or presumption here, so I try to clear it up by reading your letter together once more!

... However, I must disagree with the first part of this link relating to Silence.
Good! Since it was a ‘unit’, what about the other paragraphs and the overall tune of it?

MY feeling, and I stress it is just MY feeling is that Baba loved the innocence of children and those with special needs. He adored music and dancing on the hill and loved a good drama too.:)

Yes dear, my point was NOT about ‘innocent children’ playing…..and music and dancing…..
I used ‘children’ as a good ‘proof’ for the slowly, but surely EROSION of the silence UP THE HILL….. it happens IN GENERATION and NOT overnight! As a matter of fact, the noise of children being happy and playing does not bother me at all, ALTHOUGH THAT PARTICULAR place is NOT for ‘playing’ and children can learn from the very beginning to respect the silence of ONE limited particular area called Samadhi, IF AND ONLY IF the grown ups respect it! And my concern are the ‘adults’ here, and to be more specific, ‘THOSE IN CHARGE’, Or being even MORE specific, those of Baba’s blood-family! I hope you get my point by now, if not, please read on!

As a mother of a special needs child I must have great compassion for any mother or father who prays out loud for their child. It is often a desperate situation and while I remained silent during my deep hearted prayers for my children in the tomb I wept silently.

Yes dear, I understand your position, sympathize with you and know where you are coming from. Yet, PLEASE note that the situation I was witnessing was NOTHING like that, AT ALL. It was PURE ‘picnic’ scene and 100% ‘socialization’, which I am NOT even against these ‘natural’ things, as long as it is NOT LOUD and within that limited area. Even socialization can happen in silence! But the problem is the ‘chattering mind’ and the desire to empty out its ‘load of noise’ ANYWHERE, regardless of anything!

But would you have rung your bell if I had choked accidentally on my tears? Guess I am glad I did not.

Oh, come on, dear, PLEASE! Accident or not accident, I am not even against any noisy expression of natural emotions! It can be a LOUD CRY of Joy, or very loud Weeping and morning! ALL I was saying, and my words are written and witness, was that ‘The Samadhi area is NOT for chit chatting’! Or is it? THAT IS ALL.
This morning, after the arti, just to test the RANGE of receptivity of the noise, I stroke the bell twice, once while I was near the stage (opposite the tomb), and once a bit further away, toward my home in Meher colony. And both times it WAS HEARD INSIDE the tomb! (I asked a person who was just about to receive the ‘real thing’, while having Baba’s darshan!) So how about this? People arrive to the area with the SAME voice volume, as in the street or the dining hall, and this is clearly heard INSIDE the tomb. That little fence is NO BARRIER for the sound frequencies. And interestingly enough, there is only ONE small ‘Silence please’ over the bench, and it is often ignored by those who are supposed to maintain the place! Physically they may do so and are particular about it, BUT when it comes to this issue (The silence needed to receive the ‘real thing’ from Baba), who cares? People naturally forget to turn their mobiles off, but there is NOT even one sign to remind them….. See my ‘window’ now?

I thank Baba that all these politics around the Samahdi occurred just as I was leaving India. GEEZ!!!! Makes me very disheartened.

Well, I do not know about that, but I do not see this issue and anything ‘political’! If it was, I would keep my mouth shut (fingers locked!!) and would not care about the issue.
It is RATHER an ‘educational’ issue, if you want to label THIS particular issue!

. And I believed you were one who did NOT give judgement or get involved in the politics of the Center.

Well dear you were RIGHT and if you can trust me and read my words AGAIN, you will SEE that I am not passing any judgements and am not interested in the power-trips and ‘politics’ in ANY FORM. If I was, I would act differently! BUT, it does not mean that when I see something ‘odd’ and harmful happens, I keep my mouth shut just to save my neck from being chopped! My past work and old life is a witness to this fact and my new life will also shows that I am NOT a ‘politician’ in ANY garb!

But PLEASE....a bit more compassion for voices.

I love ALL voices, as long as they do not disturb the UNIQUE silence of the Samadhi area.
AGAIN, a voice can sing a beautiful song for babaji, that is FINE and even HELPS…., my only point is that there are SO MANY places to chitchat in Meherabad, why not respect the silence on the Samadhi area? Clear enough me dear?

Baba was silent but all I have read he loved joyous noise, games, plays, children, dancing, singing.

Yes, no doubt, but you also know his reaction to ANY noise when he was in seclusion.
If He suffered SO MUCH for our well beings and said that “REAL THINGS ARE GIVEN AND RECEIVED IN SILENCE”, so why deprive others from such ‘dealing’ by carrying the ‘orders of the chattering mind’, WHILE coming for the Darshan? Now I really hope I have made myself clear from any interpretations!

Who are you to decide dear one.

Well, if you mean that I am a ‘nobody’ and a ‘false self’, I agree with you, yet, if you want an intelligent answer for this ‘statement’, I need to say that I am God, in this form; and Baba is in me as He is in you or everybody else. AND also I am NOT deciding anything! I am just a ‘selfish’ guy (which self ? YOU ‘decide’ please!) just wishing to receive some ‘REAL THING’ from God; AND since I do not see myself ‘separate’ than those standing in the Darshan queue, I CAN and WILL speak for them too, it is my ‘divine duty and responsibility’ and I am NOT going to ‘shirk’ it for the sake of my own 'interest' and the ‘power-politics’ around here. If you believe that the Captain Does everything, please just ‘suppose’ that He had sent me on a ‘mission impossible/possible’ to remind some people to respect the silence at His Tomb.!

I never placed myself in a position to voice these opinions other than the opinion that Baba would take care of what he did not like.

If you STILL think that what I witness here around 7-8 am/pm, is just my ‘opinion’ and not a fact, I may record some audiotape for you to hear the noise! Please send a postal address, if you doubt my words! And HOW can you ‘judge’ that THIS is not His ‘wish/will’?

He is not in the body so have you taken his place? Then you have become the priest and cleric.

Sorry dear, cannot agree with your ‘judgement’….. I am just doing a ‘selfish’ thing for my’self’ (others included) and if I ‘had become’ what you said I have, I would be in a TOTALLY different position now and at least had some kind of ‘benefits’!!! Do you think that the ‘priests’ do their thing for free and against their own interest?!!!

Embrace India.:) I miss it here in the busy states, Jai Baba,

Well done, She is waiting for you………"

Home, home, Sweet challenging FIREY Home!

22/07/2006 / 09:50

Jay Baba all…. Lovely to be back HOME (Mehrabad)….Good thing is that now I can use my own PC and type in Farsi too, for my dear Irani friends. The following is part of a letter I wrote to Bhauji yesterday. I bring it here, for the sake of record, AND translate it to Persian, for those who have no idea of what is going on here! It might inform them about the place and inspire them to pay a visit.

“….On the way back from Delhi, at the train, my heart told me to observe silence until Sunday morning, after the arti, just to build enough emotional/mental energy to enter His 'kitchen' (or as dear Iraj used to say, 'to walk on the fire'!).....So i walk with my white 'head band' over my mouth, to remind myself of the oath and do not give in to the emotional tides of seeing my family members after so long!

Walking up the Hill and sitting in His tomb for hours before the arti, after about 4 months, was just wonderful/tearful and VERY soothing and relaxing..... But when it came close to 7 pm, the ambience noise of people chit-chatting and greeting each other, in LOUD voices , and children just playing around as if in playground, showed once again that OVER TIME, the silence of the Hill will be just a 'memory' of the past and not in existence, if the adults and 'those in charge' do not respect the silence.....

As we know the fact, children learn by example, and NOT BY ORDER. So, if they, and many 'adults' see and hear that the people who are 'in charge' are very easily breaking the silence for 'socialization' purposes, obviously no sign of 'silence please' will help..... and the silence up the Hill will eventually erode, as the time passes by......

So i just had to use my Tibetan bell twice, in 2 different times, just to remind His 'lovers', that this place is NOT a place for chit-chat!! And it worked, although i am positive that very very few people did like the sound of it,,,,,, if the birds can break the silence and make it even DEEPER, why not the calming frequencies of the bell?!

This morning, after the arti, while still people standing in the queue to receive something 'real', i was witness to another 'human mental assault' against the Silence, INSIDE the tomb; and when i just snapped my fingers to remind the person to lower his voice volume, Mrs. Dastoor told me very 'harshly', 'Do not SAY anything.....he is talking about a sick child" , and she repeated a few times "you just GO!!"...... i stayed for some minutes in silence, wondering,..... just wondering that how many 'good excuse' can ALWAYS be found to break the silence?!! Tomorrow someone may join Baba and the next day some earthquake could happen somewhere, and....... All very 'good' excuses to feed the mind and its desire to chit chat!!!

So, dear Bhuji, i just wanted to share the 'loving news', just for you (and maybe others) to see the other side of the coin, in case, as usual, you receive any 'complains' about me!

To be even more honest with myself and you, i (PLUS a few other eyes which can see!) am really a witness to the slow 'natural phenomenon' of a kind of 'priesthood' forming around Baba, AGAIN!....... and if i am so 'stupid' to announce it and ask for your help, then please forgive me, it is my nature to be so!

God's Press Conference

Jay Baba....finally my days away from 'home' are over and tomorrow will return to The Magic Hill, hands FULL, hopefully, meeting the challenge of finding a new place to live..... may write about these days later on..... This morning received the following and since it is just a 'jewel', kile to share it here..... enjoy it..............Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

God's Press Conference

Responding to recent events on Earth, God, theomniscient creator-deity worshipped by billions offollowers of various faiths for more than 6,000 years, angrily clarified His longtime stance against humanskilling each other Monday.

"Look, I don't know, maybe I haven't made myselfcompletely clear, so for the record, here it isagain," said the Lord, His divine face betraying visible emotion during a press conference. "Somehow, people keep coming up with the idea that I want themto kill their neighbor. Well, I don't. And to behonest, I'm really getting sick and tired of it. Get it straight. Not only do I not want anybody to killanyone, but I specifically commanded you not to, inreally simple terms that anybody ought to be able tounderstand."

Worshipped by Christians, Jews, and Muslims alike, God said His name has been invoked countless times overthe centuries as a reason to kill in what He called"an unending cycle of violence."

"I don't care how holy somebody claims to be," Godsaid. "If a person tells you it's My will that they kill someone, they're wrong. Got it? I don't care whatreligion you are, or who you think your enemy is, hereit is one more time: No killing, in My name or anyoneelse's, ever again."

The press conference came as a surprise to humankind, as God rarely intervenes in earthly affairs. As amatter of longstanding policy, He has traditionallyleft the task of interpreting His message and divinewill to clerics, rabbis, priests, imams, and Biblical scholars. Theologians and laymen alike have been giventhe task of pondering His ineffable mysteries, deciding for themselves what to do as a matter offaith. His decision to manifest on the material planewas motivated by the deep sense of shock, outrage, andsorrow He felt over the violence carried out in Hisname, and over its dire ramifications around the globe.

"I tried to put it in the simplest possible terms for you people, so you'd get it straight, because Ithought it was pretty important," said God, calledYahweh and Allah respectively in the Judaic and Muslimtraditions. "I guess I figured I'd left no real roomfor confusion after putting it in a four-word sentencewith one-syllable words, on the tablets I gave toMoses. How much more clear can I get?"

"But somehow, it all gets twisted around and, nextthing you know, somebody's spouting off some nonsenseabout, 'God says I have to kill this guy, God wants meto kill that guy, it's God's will,'" God continued."It's not God's will, all right? News flash: 'God's will' equals 'Don't murder people.'"

Worse yet, many of the worst violators claim that their actions are justified by passages in the Bible,Torah, and Qur'an."

To be honest, there's some contradictory stuff in there, okay?" God said. "So I can see how it could bepretty misleading. I admit it-My bad. I did My best toinspire them, but a lot of imperfect human agents havemisinterpreted My message over the millennia. Frankly, much of the material that got in there is dogmatic, doctrinal bull. I turn My head for a second and, suddenly, all this stuff about homosexuality gets intoLeviticus, and everybody thinks it's God's will tokill gays. It absolutely drives Me up the wall."

God praised the overwhelming majority of His followersas "wonderful, pious people," calling the perpetratorsof Holy Wars as rare exceptions.

"This whole medieval concept of the jihad, or holy war, had all but vanished from the Muslim world in,like, the 10th century, and with good reason," Godsaid. "There's no such thing as a holy war, onlyunholy ones."

Continued God, "Read the book: 'Allah is kind, Allah is beautiful, Allah is merciful.' It goes on and onthat way, page after page. But, no, some idiots haveto come along and revive this stupid holy-war bolognajust to further their own hateful agenda. So now, people are killing Sikhs because they wear a "turban"thinking they are Muslims."

God stressed that His remarks were directed at anyonewhose ideological zealotry overrides his or herability to comprehend the core message of all world religions.

"I don't care what faith you are, everybody's beenmaking this same mistake since the dawn of time," Godsaid. "The Muslims massacre the Hindus, the Hindusmassacre the Muslims. And the Christians? You people believe in a Messiah who says, 'Turn the other cheek,'but you've been killing everybody you can get yourhands on since the Crusades."

Growing increasingly wrathful, God continued: "Can'tyou people see? What are you, morons? There are a ton of different religious traditions out there, anddifferent cultures worship Me in different ways. Butthe basic message is always the same: Christianity,Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Shintoism… every religiousbelief system under the sun, they all say you'resupposed to love your neighbors, folks! It's not thathard a concept to grasp."

"Why would you think I'd want anything else? Humansdon't need religion or God as an excuse to kill each other-you've been doing that without any help from Mesince you were freaking apes!" God said. "The wholepoint of believing in God is to have a higher standardof behavior. How obvious can you get?"

"I'm talking to all of you, here!" continued God, His voice rising to a shout. "Do you hear Me? I don't wantyou to kill anybody. I'm against it, across the board. How many times do I have to say it? Don't kill eachother anymore-ever! I'm serious!"

Upon completing His outburst, God fell silent, standing quietly at the podium for several moments. Then, witnesses reported, God's shoulders began toshake, and He wept.

Love = Infinite Intelligence

Yes, and see what i got in response to those words of Beloved Baba.... a brother writes out of his own personal experience of love:

"........ love is real intelligence capable of realizing truth

If this is not what is sometimes referred to as Infinite Intelligence,
I'll eat my lovely chinese sandals."

And i added this in reply:
"Ok. dear, no need to eat them.... i also feel so, it MUST be...... just think of the intelligence beating from the very first moment of conception, to form THE HEART organ, to be filled with love, later. Of course, if the emotional experiences of that particular 'heart' are not 'love-conducing', it can be filled with 'hatred' and other 'negative emotions'! "

Love vs intellect, By Babaji

Jay Baba.... My last week in Delhi is going fine and soon will go back 'home' at Meherabad, looking for a new place to live! Was reminded that the rent contract is over by the end of THIS month ( i thought it was next month!).... so another 'challenge' to meet! it is a VERY difficult job to find a suitable place to live/work there, but i just wish Babaji has something 'suitable' for me in His divine 'store'! Ameen......
Mailed the following for many and got positive responses from the readers, so i post it here as well. The Source is one the old magazines called THE AVATAR (will find the date soon).... enjoy Baba's words:
"One can find volumes and volumesof prose and poetry about love,
but there are very, very few persons who have found love and experienced it.

No amount of reading, listening and learning can ever tell you what love is.

Regardless of how much I explain love to you, you will understand it less and less,
if you think you can grasp it through intellect or imagination…..

The difference between love and intellectis something like that between night and day :

they exist in relation to one another and yet
as two different things,
love is real intelligence capable of realizing truth;
intellect is best suited to know all about duality,
which is born of ignorance and is entirely ignorance.

When the sun rises, night is transformed into day.
Just so, when love manifests,
not-knowing (ignorance)
is turned into conscious-knowing (knowledge)."

HOW can they peaceful?!

Found some funny pictures and like to share....
Demonstration in Tehran: do not believe what you read ,
like the incorrect spelling, the statement is incorrect!
they do not know what 'peace' is, HOW can they peaceful?!

God's words for July 10th, to USE!

Jay Baba ALL ... just sent the following for many Baba-lovers and also put it here for other who are not in the list!

We all 'know' what Beloved Baba has said about the TRUE nature of us ( = God).
Yet, if we do not 'believe' it and act differently, out of our 'conditionings' (NOT LOVING!), it only shows that the concept (we = God) has gone only to the 'head' and NOT to our real center, HEART.

Just typed these words of Baba and like to share it with you, so we can ponder/meditate/use them during the 24 hours that we can keep the mind silence and recall/remember these words.Wish we can all LIVE as God, loving and serving ourselves/others.

Words of Beloved Meher Baba for ALL HUMANITY
"God is for those who are not for themselves.
Births and deaths are illusory phenomena:one really dies when one is born to live as God,
the Eternal, who is beyond both birth and death.
On annihilating death in life by completely freeing consciousness of all illusion,
man becomes God,
in the naked truth of his own true existence.
Not by fruitless survey of the past,
nor by elusive longing for the future,
nor by enslavement to the fleeting moment,
but by staking everything for God,
is it possible for you to experience yourself as the illimitable ocean of Love.
Here and nowhere else is the final solution of all your problems.
We must love ourselves in order to find ourselves.
Thus loss itself is gain.We must die to self, to live in God.
Thus death means life.
We must become completely void to be completely possessed by God.
Thus complete emptiness means absolute fullness.
Have love and you will conquer the lower and limited self of cravings
that veil your own true self as God.
From the beginning of all beginnings, I have been saying, I say it now,
and to the end of ends,
I will say it that
he who loves God becomes God."

Bachelor degree without diploma

Jay Baba,
the 'tragedy' is so deep that it can only be seen as 'funny', as these real pictures from Iran suggest:
it is a poster ad by a religious institution, in a Tehran Highway, saying :
"Did you know that those who can read the Koran by heart
can get an official Bachelor's degree, without having a diploma?"
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jay Baba, how nice to begin the day with such a message of 'support'. As i replied and stressed to a few who know the 'mass media project', at this stage, what i need is such kind of support (moral, emotional, technical....) Financial support is another kind which will come, no doubt, if this is according to His wish (which some feel it is!) will write about this later. for now, just want to post this 'news of loving' from brother Stephen......Jay BabaHuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

international petition: appeal for freedom in Iran

received this mail just now and cannot just archive it, without posting it here. i have signed the petition and invite all those who respect Higher Values in Life, to sign it......... Jay Baba Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Dear friends around the world

Abed Tavancheh and Yashar Ghajar are young active scientists at the university of Amir Kabir in Teheran, and free journalists, who had established a weblog/journal on internet and reported on the student revolts in Teheran against the “fascist” (exactly expressed) government of Ahamdinejad in Iran. The journal edited by them was called “Human, Justice, Truth". They have been imprisoned since 1 month now, with no juridical manifest reason and have been cross-examined under extreme conditions and tortured. At the present according to our contacts to Evin jailhouse in Teheran and the student/scientists movement committee in Teheran they are in very bad health condition.

We have been now informed that a list of over hundreds of further students and scientist has been communicated by the Intelligence Service of the Iranian Government, further people who are subject to intensive investigations. We are expecting a next wave of mass arrests of students and scientists at Teheran Universities within the next weeks, including again many journalists and other intellectuals.

Please kindly forward this petition mail to your friends, we need every signature.and join the petition yourself calling for release of the prisoners Abed Tavancheh, Yashar Ghajar, and all Iranian students/scientists/journalists imprisoned by the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran through:

If any other questions please do not hesitate to contact me, I would be happy to reply.

Many cordial thanks for your support by mediating this mail to friends and joining the petition.

The Cage of their religion!

"Though religion has come into existence to liberate man from all narrowness, it can itself become a cage, when not understood properly. All the world religions proclaim the same eternal and universal truth, yet human weakness has tendency to carve out some limiting, narrow loyalyu, which closes its gates upon the shoreless and unbounded ocean of love or divinity."

This statement of Meher Baba clearly shows that the 'mullas' who are ruling Iran did not understand Islam properly. Freedom of speech and expression is totally gone (AGAINST the constituition), freedom/justice lovers are in prison and the country has become a BIG 'CAGE'! The 'weakness' of them beingthe same old 'lust', 'greed' and 'hatred'! (The socio-economic statistics can reveal this fact.)

May God himself save/free the people from this sad situation. Ameen....

"Nothing matters but love for God."

"God is not to be lured, but to be loved.
God is not to be preached, but to be lived.
God is not to be understood, until is understood as 'Infinite Love'.
God is infinite honesty. To love God you must be honest.
Nothing else is real but God.
Nothing matters but love for God."

Using 'non-loving' women AGAINST God ( =Truth) in Iran.

Jay Baba, again i need to say that i am not involved in politics, only into 'loving people'! It seems that these two are somehow OPPOSITES! when there is no 'love', there is only violence and poverty and all other 'evils'! After Iran was 'occupied' by the 'internal forces of hatred' (1979), it gradually became totally victim to the leaders' lust, greed and hatred.... following pictures and 'news' is the recent manifestation of this 'occupation'.

Interesting enough, now they are using 'non-loving' women to fight against 'loving' ones who are for Truth and justice. { They know that men are too 'scared' to protest and women have more guts to stand for their rights.}

One of the men who had enough courage to stand up for the truth (even when he was a MP in the last parliment) and never left the people alone, is Ali Akbar Musavi Khoiniha, who has been captured in that demonstration.

A blog has beed dedicated for his freedom and i also gave a comment in it. Hope God will save the people against His enemies. We say that 'whoever lies is the enemy of God', and the ruling minority of Iran had proven that they are 'the worse enemies of God', so far! Because they say that they do all this, 'for God's sake'!

i put more pictures of this 'shameful act of suppression' in my photoblog, just for the sake of record. From the farthest galaxies to the streets of Tehran, everywhere is 'God's territory', YET a few ignorant ones think otherwise!

"Rough suppression of the women's peaceful gathering in Tehran
The women's gathering in" Hafte Tir " circle in Tehran was severly suppressed by the Especial forces and security forces and more than 60 person is arrested .According to Advar news reporter from "Hafte Tire" circle in Tehran , the police forces , among them women police officers could be seen with green uniform and equipped with Batum and tear gas attacked the women in order to disperse them "
